Organizations are only to see an individual's credit report if they have a legitimate reason to do so - like any check the applicant must have given consent. A potential employer may wish to see this information, as well banks, mortgage advisors, creditors and lenders etc.

The UK credit score system is largely dependent on the credit reference agencies. Experian, Equifax and TransUnion are three of the most important CRAs. Each credit bureau collects data from debtors and factors them into an algorithm that calculates your credit score. Each CRA uses a different scale and may receive different information.

Sanctions screening is the process by which a person or group is screened against designated sanction lists. These can be used by multinational companies to ensure that they are not conducting activities with a designated individual, organization, or country that has been placed under sanctions.

Throughout the journey, candidates are provided with real-time prompts and advice on how to provide documents and how to go through the likeness check. This includes guidance on how to take a high quality image, allowing us to confirm their identity more quickly. 

Candidates using a computer will have an option to upload pictures of  their documents directly from their computer. There is also the option to continue the request on a mobile device, even if they have started the process on a desktop.
