If background screening feels slow, it is often not because teams are waiting on one big thing. It is usually the small gaps, missing details, unclear inputs, and repeated follow-ups that quietly stretch timelines. In this issue, we focused on two outcomes: getting you faster verification signals, and helping candidates submit cleaner information the first time.

1) Konfir is now live

What this unlocks
A faster way to get employment and income verification signals, especially when you need an early indicator to keep hiring moving.

What changed
Konfir is now available as part of our checks. It draws on regulated data sources such as Open Banking and payroll connections. In this first phase, results are delivered as a clear PDF report, with deeper in-app integration planned later.

Why it matters
Some roles do not need “perfect information on day one,” they need a confident signal early enough to make decisions and keep momentum. Konfir is designed to reduce waiting, without adding admin work.

How it works
Candidates complete a short, guided journey. Once completed, you receive the outcome in a PDF report that can be stored alongside your other screening records.

A quick scenario
If you are hiring at volume and you want to reduce time lost to back-and-forth, Konfir can help you get a quicker signal while other steps continue.

2) Employment checks: fewer Missing Information loops

What this unlocks
Fewer stalled cases caused by incomplete or unclear employment submissions.

What changed
We improved the candidate flow for employment checks to reduce common sources of Missing Information. The focus was on clearer prompts and more consistent capture, so candidates are less likely to submit partial details that require follow-up.

Why it matters
Every Missing Information request adds friction. Candidates drop off, recruiters chase, and timelines slip. Improving the submission experience is one of the most reliable ways to shorten turnaround.

How it works
Candidates are guided to provide key employment details more cleanly. This helps reduce avoidable follow-ups and improves first-time completeness.

A quick scenario
If candidates are skipping employer details or uploading the wrong documents, this update helps reduce those “can you resend” moments.

3) Education checks: clearer capture, stronger audit trail

What this unlocks
More accurate education submissions, fewer clarifications, and clearer records when names or institutions vary.

What changed
We updated the education flow to capture what verification providers typically need in a more structured way. This includes clearer guidance, better consistency in how details are collected, and stronger compliance capture where required.

Why it matters
Education checks often go slow for simple reasons: mismatched names, unclear qualification levels, missing documents, or different interpretations of what counts. A more structured flow reduces ambiguity before the case reaches verification.

How it works
Candidates provide education details with clearer instructions and structured fields, including “name during study” where relevant. This improves accuracy and reduces repeat requests.

A quick scenario
If your candidates studied under a different name, or the education system varies by country, this helps keep submissions consistent and easier to verify.

What we are watching

Across these changes, the question we care about is simple: do cases move forward with fewer interruptions? If your team sees a step that still creates repeated follow-ups, that is usually the best hint for what we should improve next.
