Reference check improvements
We're continually reviewing our platform's processes, and a key area is the reference check journey. Periodically, we make amendments, tweaks and improvements to the process. These are the latest enhancements:
Price increase per referee added on the criteria
Until now, changing the number of the minimum criteria count did not add up to the pricing of the check. The price now displayed will take into account all referees added from the multiple questionnaires.
Candidate can add the same referee to multiple questionnaires
Using the same referee ensures uniformity in responses, offering a cohesive evaluation of the candidate's qualities, while also saving time and streamlining the evaluation process for all involved parties. This approach also prevents candidate from nominating numerous referees, some of whom may not have close relationships or relevant insights.
"No response from referee" automatic status
In our pursuit to make the reference check more automated and efficient, we have now made sure that if a referee does not answer the questionnaire in the defined due date, which is the 15 business days mark, we will move the referee feedback automatically to “No response”.
Adding a referee in the middle of an “in progress” reference check
If a new referee is added in the middle of the process, by the candidate or by a colleague from operations, the reference check due date will be extended 15 business days to give a fair chance for that referee to complete the check.
Remove summary page of referees added
It has been observed that some candidates were not clicking on the "save & finish" button while nominating referees for each questionnaire. As a result, they confused the Summary Page as the final page and left the the form. We have eliminated that page and instead, we are pushing candidates return to the initial 'Referee Nomination” screen after completing each questionnaire.
If a candidate has completed all questionnaires, the status will be marked as 100% completed. However, if any questionnaire is incomplete, they will need to continue providing referees for the remaining ones.
Don’t allow candidates to choose multiple relationships with the referees
We were allowing the candidate to select multiple relationships it had with the referee when they should only select one type of relationship.
Full report was lacking referee details
While making the type of relationship between candidates and referees a mandatory field, we did make that field mandatory when clients were nominating referees themselves. Since then, the issue has been solved and the information is again available on the reference check reports.
